Lamp Shade 101

Today I am going to give a lamp shade lesson.... Lamp shade 101.  I have wanted to give this lesson for a long time because of the amount of questions that I receive about the lamp shades I create and how they will attatch to a lamp or pendant light......

All of my lamp shades have a top ring that is called a spider ring.   To attatch this type of lamp shade to a lamp would require a harp.  Some lamps have a saddle already attatched to hold a harp (picture above).
